“It’s great being a shambles.  Just peachy.”  says Charlie Brooker of the Guardian.  He goes on to describe his complete incompetence dealing with exhaustion, builders and repetitive songs about chips.

It’s so much more fun to be a bit of a mess.   Ron Burgundy, Bridget Jones, Lloyd and Harry, Clark Griswold, Bill and Ted, Wayne and Garth, Napoleon Dynamite.  Some of the best and most-loved characters are haphazardly crashing their way through life.

One of my favourite storytelling songs is ‘It Was Supposed to be so Easy’ on The Streets album A Grand Don’t Come For Free.   As my pal Louise likes to sing, “It’s funny ‘cos it’s truuuuuuuuue!”

I have flu. If I didn’t I would be out, celebrating my ability to fall over.  Probably by falling over.

This was Nicola Cunningham for UWS TV.  I love lamp.
